Oh my. You usually think of the people on the coatline when you hear about the slides but this sems to be inland! Those poor people, I've been in there shoes not being able to live in my home for months, how terrible for them! I take it that none of our California ladies are at risk?

It's scary to think a house can do that, I'm glad there was no deaths and few injuries. I hope those with houses can get them back to safe, so they can go home soon.

We had a mixed bag in seattle, it was foggy in the morning, rained for about half an hour mid-morning and then was sunny and beautiful all afternoon and then dark, black rain clouds showed up just before nightfall. We had a very short rain season with not enough snow in the mountains so we're kinda sorta in a draught. Sorry we sent ours down to you Lynne. Feel free to send the rain back up here where it belongs.

Yeah I was feeling a bit like Seattle a few times this winter. I remember sitting in a ferry sipping Peppermint tea when I was in Seattle. Never lost my taste for the Peppermint tea fortunately they sell the same brand here. We enjoy it so. I feel like I'm in a drought. They put a meter on our water and started charging us for the water. I haven't even turned on the sprinklers and we're already using over what we'd normally spend. Weird thing is we we're already water conservers. I'm thinking that bit us in the butt when they figured out our baseline. I should have been watering the side walks and taking 45 minute showers all along!
