Got my LO pictures out for October Challenge

Oct 02, 2008 2 Replies

I went into the first of my 4.... boxes.... of.... pictures. Decided that the first Halloween pictures I came to would be the ones I would do this month. I'm always thinking I should do things chronologically and it stops me from doing as much as I want. As I sorted the photos and decided which were LO quality I also got puzzled on whether they were from 1996 or 1997. I thought long and hard and just couldn't figure it out. First instinct... don't scrap them until I figure it out. I thought there we go again a 2nd excuse not to scrap. I decided that it really wasn't important what year they were from considering they are only a year a part. I could even leave the year up in the air and still get the LO's done. Awfully cute pictures will be great to get them into an album.

Clever idea.

I used to be a scrap what I please when I please person, and then I found I always had big blank pages where nothing fit together, it really urked me so I stopped. Now I've done things year by year. And I have been so much more pleased with how my books have turned out. The problem "chronological" has caused... I swear I must have more pictures of my son and therefore I just can't scrap a year and leave something out.... where are those darn pictures? So, I totally stopped scrapping my son's life and went on to scrapping other things. And so, of course I am falling yet more and more behind on my son's books. A mother's guilt, a scrapbookers guilt, female guilt, perfectionists guilt... guilt guilt guilt... :)

Ahhh Melissa I know exactly where you're coming from.

I've decided to just start scrapping. I really like albums with protective sleeves. I'll slip the done pages into the protective sleeves in the album, but won't adhere them to the page until I'm sure the order I want them. I just don't want to be scrapping baby pictures forever. I want to see them in an album.
