Great Day Part 2 & final.

After I got April's package I had to start getting ready to go to the screening of a movie Dan/DH worked on last summer. It's called "When Zachary Beaver Came to Town". It's based on a children's book. It was shot here in Texas in Austin and Grainger. FYI: Second hand lions was being shot at the same time here in Austin too.

The story is about a big fat kid (Zachary Beaver or Zach) who comes to Grainger, TX and meets these 2 other kids, one of them played by Jonathan Lipnicki (the Jerry Maguire kid). They all become friends and spend the summer togather. My favorite character, though, is Jonathan's dad who is played by one of my favorite actors: ERIC STOLTZ. He is soooooooo cute and I love everithing about it! So much that Dan almost didn't want me to go to set when they were shooting here last summer (jealous maybe? ;). But I did anyway =) We weren't even engaged back them, so he was not gonna tell me what I could do (not that he can now either...He says it himself that I'll just do whatever I've already made up my mind to --specially when it comes to SB )

The Austin Film Festival sent us an invitation some weeks ago and it said they were invating all cast and crew. I expected to see of the crew more than anything 'cause I didn't think the actors would come just for a screening. Last year at the wrap party the only ones there were Jonathan & Sasha (Zachary). No Eri S. =(((( I got drunk for free though and I had a good time w/my friends, and that is never bad.

We went last nite and let me tell you this is a GREAT movie. It made me laugh, made me cry and it entertained me. That would have been worth the 9 or 10 bucks at the theatre. BTW you can check out the cast & crew list @

guess who was sitting 2 rows right in front of us? YES. Mr. Stoltzhimself!!!! Can you imagine me during the movie? I didn't know where tolook. Should I pay attention to the movie? or should I look at him? ;)Luckily I could do both almost at the same time, b/c he was so close. I couldn't get a pix taken w/him =( BUT I did talk to him for a while, got TONS of pixs and a autograph. Also I managed to make the biggest dork out of myself by almost arguing w/a girl next to me (in front of him) about which one was his biggest fan. So, who cares? It's not like he's never heard that before or that I have to worry about seeing him again (although I wouldn't mind ;) )

It was a new roll, so I have at least 10 pixs left, but I'll get it developed ASAP & I'll share.

Now you see what a great day I had yesterday?!?!?!? It was all too exciting. I felt like a toddler in Xmas morning. All this for me? ;)

Check out the movie if & when they release it for the public. It was an independent film, so *maybe* it'll be played in other cities. (Crossing fingers)

Well, bye for now.

Angie,

That is a great book! (i've not read it completely but did start to) The author, if I'm not mistaken, is from Louisiana. She came to my son's school (he was in 2nd I think at the time) and did a book fair. Very wonderful lady! Kimberly Willis Holt is her name. She also wrote MY LOUISIANA SKY.

Now that I know it's a movie... and has one of my fave actors (Stoltz LOL), CG will have to go with me.

He is one of my favorite actors too. I think I have a thing for tall, thin, blond/read-headed men (DH, E Stoltz, and get this, Conan O'Brien. He's so wacky. I love him)

Anyway... The movie is really good and Stoltz was a total sweetheart. Before the movie started I have pen & paper ready for my autograph and would you believe I had lost them by the time I got to talking to him!?!?!? So there you have me going thru my purse and trying to make small talk at the same time. Of course, the only thing going thru my mind was to tell him how wonderful and cute he was. I felt like a kid meeting Santa for the 1st time. As DH would say, I do get a *little* starstruck =) But Stoltz is too cute not to. BTW, can you believe he is 42 ?

Well ladies, gotta go to work now.

Baby is good thanks for asking! He's getting so BIG! He's going through growth spurt right now - wants to eat all the time, gets bored easy and doesn't want to sleep! :) He's been sleeping about 6 hours at night to start, then 2 or 3, then he's up for about 5 hours.

I'm doing well! Still trying to figure out when I can scrap, so my pages are few and far between.

He can't be... just can NOT be 42!! LOL Heck, can one believe he was the kid in Mask with Cher? That's nearly 20 years ago!

Thinking now how the guys who were dreamy when I was growing up are either approaching or rolled right on thru 40! LOL

Susan

and can you believe Cher is 56????

I don't think we are getting old...just better =) Kinda like wine (or at least I tell myself that)

BTW, he sooo doesnt look his age that the gf he brought w/him was probably my age (27) or 30 the latest. How does that work?

Does that mean when we are 40 we can go after 20 some y/o guys? Assuming we could anyway...I know some of us here are taken already. =)
