Greetings all from San Antonio, TX. I've been here all week on business. Last night I had some free time so where else would I go? I found a LSS of course! Scrapbooking 911. I loved this place.
I have a lot of LSS around home but typically end up at Michael's or HL. This place was a real treat for me. So many things that Michael's & HL don't carry. They had all the brads, eyelets and clips color coordinated with the paper. They had rows of goodies coordinated by themes...Disney, major holidays, Texas, travel, sports, baby, graduation, wedding, it just went on and on. They also had a huge adjoining classroom. A weight watcher meeting/crop was going on at the time. Lynne, they had an entire wall of ribbon and fibers...15 feet of spool after spool. Tons of tools. They had all the new fiskers squeeze punches. My fingers just itched to buy the pop-up paw print punch.
They didn't carry a lot of stamps because Stamp San Antonio is not too far away (I went there on my last trip down). They have way too many stamps for Srapbooking 911 to compete. There was so much other stuff I barley noticed. They had other kinds of stamps that I wouldn't normally see such as the stamps that do a faux postal seal or the old date stamps with the 'wheels' that turn as the date/month/year change. They has some of these with various words.
I saw a lot of Jolee's I've never seen anywhere else before. A huge Disney selection, and of course, a huge Texas section. The Jolee saddles were so adorable.
I didn't do a Dave shopping spree, but I did walk out with a stack of paper. Oh, how I wished I was a lottery winner last night!
Have a great day!
