Best online store to buy floss?

Hi All!

I was reading the thread about Walmart and the fact that they dont carry DMC anymore. Well, that got me to looking at my floss collection and it seems I am missing about 27 colors. Does anyone have a favorite online store with minimal shipping? I can't see driving 45 miles one way just to get floss...not at these gas prices. I had DH stop at Hobby Lobby while he was in San Antonio the other day. That was like pulling teeth...and I only wanted one skein! He ended up buying two (of the same color) because he said "I wasn't going all this way and only get one....so now you have plenty" Yeah! for years I'll have plenty of that color! He just doesn't get it......

My mother used to order from Herrschner until AC Moore arrived on Cape (Cape Cod). They aren't outrageous... C

don't charge shipping! Very pleasant to work with, fastservice. If you just need threads, I would highly recommend them. And Cheryl, they're in your neck of the woods - Contoocook NH! (Atleast by Midwest standards - NH is just not that big!)

I looked at these sites and it made me feel better about charging .55 for DMC floss :) They are nice sites. I'm still working on mine. It is like a UFO haunting me!

I just got my order from Naomah. She kindly kitted up one of my purchases for me.

Now if only I could order up a case-lot of free time to stitch all this cool stuff! I'm coming down the homestretch on a trial, and have 500+ pages of a union dispute coming up, which needs to be done by Monday.

Thanks, Naomah! Once you're into the shop, I'll have a few more things I "need". :)

Yeah, "need". That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Anything to keep an LNS afloat, you know. :)

For those who e-mailed me that they were worried this was a scam, I am now able to tell you that I did receive what I ordered, and that Naomah actually trusted me to mail a check the same day she was mailing my package. She could have been taken for a goodly amount of stock if I'd played "the check is in the mail"; that alone convinced me I wasn't dealing with a scammer.

And of course, we all NEED more stuff!

Nope, not a scammer here :)

Ii did get delayed sending out 2 other orders thanks to the screwy GA weather. Will get them in the mail in the morning. Everything should be thawed by then.

I will be sending a small order to Mill Hill next week. They have their new Buttons & Bead kits for spring now.

I'll post when I have a new arrival list available.

Like TiaMary, I shoot from the hip. When I get good service, I say so. When I get lousy service, I say so, too.
