How can I attach?

I have a couple questions. I have my original issue bandana from Desert Storm. I want to put it in my album on heavy cardstock, wth the LAST picture of me in Saudi mounted on top of it. I folded the 'hankie' to fit over/on a piece of cardstock with a bit of the cardstock showing like a border.

How can, or SHOULD I even, mount the hankie to the paper? I thought about sewing it, but do not have a machine nor know any one close who really does either.

How can I mount the picture to the hankie (I matted the picture)?

The protective sleeve that I am putting the pages in is holding the hankie in place ok, so shold i maybe leave it like that, but the picture and the caption or journaling block will not stay. I wold prefer not to ruin or deface the hankie if possible.

Any ideas? TY in advance

Hello, You could put the hankie in a large photo monting sleeve, but and attach the photo to the photo mounting sleeve and both would be somewhat protected. Judy

Dave,

Have you thought about making a clear "pocket" for the bandana (you can use sheet protectors to make the pocket) then use adhesive to attach it to the cardstock THEN you can use adsive to attach the photo and journaling to the front without ruining the bandana. All the adhesive would be on the protective pocket. It will probably be a pretty thick page but that's fine as long as your mission to use the bandana without damaging it is achieved. Good Luck! S

You could also use a hat pin type deal.. or saftey pins.. just attach it likt you would a coursage.. picture and journaling included.. or use a paper clip type attachment.. and maybe a dab of that clear rubbery glue dot.. just in a spot that touched the cardstock?

WHAT!!! ME SEW - NOT!!! (had to do that in my day, now I don't - LOL!)

The envelope/pouch idea sonds like a winner where both things woud be protected and separate. The hatpin idea crossed me mind, but i wondered if over time they might rust?

A tad of rubber cement or the like on corners also crossed my mind, but again, the thoughts of long term decay or reaction?

The only thing I guess with the envelope, i will have to make one for the hank, so that it fits on my page as I use 8.5x11. GRR! The hindsight of not using 12x12, but maybe one day after I use the 10 that I bought when got hooked into this hobby!

Thanks ALL for the great ideas! I do have a couple other tings out of material i want to put in a album sooner or later and I am keeping all these ideas, unless ya'll think about the drawbacks thatI thought of. Dang - looks like I may have to @#&*^ SEW again!
