Hugs and prayers going out to you and your dad and your mom and the doctors that you may each get the best care possible from the most competent health care team available.
If you do have carpal tunnel, don't wait to get the surgery. Ask to see the best hand specialist in town and get them fixed. They had me believing it was in my neck and incapacitated me for far too long. The surgery was a breeze and the recovery was pretty good too. I know with young kids and parents to take care of, you are probably putting yourself on the back burner. Just know that the numbness in my hands disappered almost immediately post op.
Hopefully they will help your Dad manage his illness better and things won't be as stressful for all of you.
Hang in there. You have to be a strong lady already to do everything that you do and care for all the people that live with you. You are a wonder and your faith will pull your through.
Big hugs, M-C

Well, I know I haven't been writing much lately but so much has been going on. I have Carpal tunnel in both wrists: Moderate to Severe. I am going for an MRI in the AM to R/O a herniated disc in my neck ( as both of my hands are numb). Now to get on with my Dad. As I am sure you all know that both of my parents live with me and they both have Parkinson's disease (or so we thought). My Dad has been falling much, much more than usual. Last week was crazy with the falling down (keep in mind he is on Hospice care in my Home); I decided to contact the nurse that comes to see him as on Sun. he couldn't even stand up his right ankle and left side of his back was really hurting bad. We all thought it was him falling (possible fracture). Well today the Neurologist called me and told me he doesn't think my Dad has Parkinson's that he thinks he has "Progressive Supranuclear Palsy" which is often mistaken for Parkinson's. As of right now it is a waiting game. We don't know if the ankle is fractured or anything else. So, if you would all be so kind as to send a prayer his way I would TRULY Appreciate it. God Bless to all, Dorothy in NY
