Thanks Janet. I"ve got tons of neat bear eyes, so perhaps if we ever do a swap or something I can send you some. What size bear are you thinking of making next?

Thanks so much for the answers! I hadn't thought about colorizing on the computer! DUH! Why didn't I think of that! I can do that! :) I know there are ways to do it post-print (with colorizing markers) but haven't tried it yet. As far as the embossing/chalking, I hadn't thought about using the template again to chalk! I just did a card for my "mom" for her birthday and did the hard emboss and chalk routine, but didn't use the template and wasn't thrilled with the results. I'll have to try that next time. And I'm checking into the photo printer you mentioned. I've got a digital camera on my wishlist (although I doubt I'll get it this year) so I'll need a printer to go with it right??? :) Thanks again for answering the question...

Your're welcome. No doubt about it, can't have the camera without the printer . Another outstanding cheap printer is the Epson stylus C82. It uses DuraBrite ink which gives it one of the highest preservation ratings out there. There might be a newer better model to the C82 out there already.

The C82 has individual ink cartridges, a real plus. The HP 130 has one cartridge. Frankly, the price of the ink cartridges is one of the most important things to look into before buying either a printer or a fax. Since living in FL I use a lot more blue (Cyan) ink. We have beautiful deep blue skies and lots of water. When I lived in Canada there were lots of trees so I used less blue and more yellow than here. Individual cartridges allow me to change just the blue instead of the whole cartridge when the blue runs out.

Thanks, you're sweet to offer. I have no plans on bear making at the moment as I am too swamped and behind on too many other projects, including my Hawaii 2003 scrapbook, the wedding album I've never done (married 8 years), and the smaller wedding albums I've never done for both mothers.

I've declared the Hawaii album needs to be done before Christmas, and I'd like to get the mothers' albums done as a super surprise Christmas present.

Plus I'm pregnant. So's my best friend, and as she LOVES penguins, I'd be more likely to make one of those next. I made the teddy bear back in 1990. With access to sellers on the internet these days, I think I'd just look for eyes that way.
