Ink Question

Since I bought some stamps for Christmas cards I've been checking out the ink pads. What's the difference in dye ink and pigment ink? I also saw another different type somewhere but can't remember what it was called. Just curious. I have a black and a red pad that are dye and a white pad that is pigment.

Nevermind. I just read the thread that Rach started and it answered my question.

There's an article about that on the RCS website. Basically, dye ink is water based and will run if it gets wet. Pigment ink is just that...pigment based. It tends to be thicker and is definately permanent. The article on the RCS website goes into more depth, though.
