Hi Angela,

I'm too old to say my age for the world to ran LOL and I've been scrapbooking for a few years now. I live in Florida with my hubby and two kitties. My son lives on the other side of Florida from me. I'm the web-keeper upper for the rec.crafts.scrapbooks (RCS) website, though I'm a little behind in my website work because of a rather disorganized move. I'm hoping to start catching up and get our monthly challenges going again next month.

Welcome to RCS and do take a moment to visit the website. The Meet me section has a lot of info on the regulars, past and present and will have more when I update the profiles next month, onc school starts for everyone in North America and I know we're back near full strength. BTW you should read the FAQs on the website as they will answer a lot of your questions about things we do on the group.

I too can't wait for you to share what you do, not just your scrapbook crafts, though that is what we are mostly about, but also your card making and anything else you might be making with scrapbook products.

Thank you guys for your warm welcome. I do very much appreciate it. Although I must warn you all that I have had some financial difficultie lately and may be losing my telephone tomorrow so I may not have a way to get online for a little while. The phone bill isn't that much but we just don't have it right now and the phone company isn't giving any leeway. Welcome to RCS Angela! I'm 33 and live in Arkansas with my hubby, our 2 kids, 1 kitty, and 1 guinea pig. I've been pretty sporatic this summer due to way too much going on, but looking forward to school starting in a few weeks so I can be back to my full posting potential. LOL I look forward to seeing your work!

And believe me, Angela, Deb's full posting potential is quite impressive!!!

LOL so I can tell.. My nephew starts back to school on Aug. 7th. then maybe I will be able to find a job. Hopefully shortly after that. My family consists of my DM (dear mother) and DN (dear nephew). Asa is 6 years old and will be in the first grade next year and qualified for the gifted program at the end of last year. We are so proud of him. My DM just started a job pn monday, so that is something. Does anyone mind if I give a little background on myself in another post. I could use a little encouragement right now...... sorry to get so depressing...

Welcome Angela! You will find us a great bunch of ladies, and gentlemen. Like Deb, I am in Arkansas. We live 20-25 minutes away from each other. M-C used to live in between us before she deserted us to go back to FL! (ducking and running from whatever it is that she had in her hand that she threw at me!) I have a DH, 2 DS's ( 15 & 17 y/o), we have pets out the ears. So lots to scrap when I find the time. Which isn't very often right now. Hope you get to hang around. I believe Jacqui lives in Georgia...wonder if you two might live close?

Nice to meet you Kenda.. have read lots about you. Hope to write back and forth with you lots. I am not familiar with Jacqui.. where does she live in Ga. I livv right next to the Alabama line.... LITERALLY... drive to the end of the road I live on and 10 steps is the Alabama sign.

Hi, Angela!

I'm in HOTHOTHOT north Texas--I'm married to a guy from India, we have a beautiful gift from God child named Maya Grace :*), and I'm also mom to 2 feral kitties, Moose and Pebbles.

I was a teacher before I had Maya, and now that she's about to start kindergarten in a few weeks (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?) I've gotten a job subbing in the school district here. Don't really want to go back to teaching (did it for ~18 years), but my dream is to someday go back to the junior college nearby and get a degree in graphic arts or something similar. I've just discovered Windows Movie Maker and found it very interesting too, might be fun to take classes on better video software, the microsoft stuff is already irritating me because I have so many ideas, but the program is limited!! :-O (Couldn't be user error, could it?? ;-)

Anyhoo, welcome. I don't get to post as often as I like because I'm working on my house (painting rooms, etc.)plus being a mom full-time, so there's not a lot of extra time to post-although I do try to lurk and check up on everyone at least every few days. You'll find this is a very caring group, full of silliness and great ideas about everything re: scrapbooking! :-)

I'll be updating and adding those of you out there who are "regulars" meaning that you've been with us for 3 or more months chatting at least 3 times weekly. I should be able to start on that mid-august.

Welcome to the group Angela. I live in Southern California. I'm married and have one daughter who is 23 and one rather large kitty. I have been scrapbooking for several years. I also work part-time at a scrapbook store which comes in handy when I need supplies!
