Just a thought

Hi all,

I have been to the website and am still not 100% sure how you go about your swops, but a nice idea for something a bit different is if we all send a set of photos (one theme, max 8 photos) and some journaling a buddy (chosen ramdomly) who will then scrap those photos for you at their expense and with their own creative ideas and then send back to you. Let me know if you are interested or how I can go about getting it started.

Look forward to hearing from you

We have done something like that in to past. Called it Trading Pages! I liked it! Barb:o)

Sounds like a good idea Andrea! The swaps are a lot of fun.

Usually you have to be a member of the group for three months, posting at least twice a week, to start participating in them, but this is just a guide and depends on the hostess of the swap.

Let me know if you are hosting!

We've done this before (two yrs or more back) and it was a lot of fun. It's a Trading Pages swap.

I will stick around a little longer and once I am 100% sure of how this all works I would love to get involved with hosting some swaps...we should do a magazine swap, I am sure some of the girls overseas would be amazed by our Treasured Moments and Creative Reflections mags.

I would love a mag swap. I picked up a British mag (Creative Scrapbooking?) at Micheals awhile back and really liked it. I'd like to see what others around the world are doing.

There was a magazine I think called something like 12X12 Scrapbooking. I think it was printed in Europe. I'd like to see one of those.

Well Katrina, I will stick around for the next few months and then see if I can get one going...should be fun, I agree with what Marilyn says about some of the mags getting too advanced and that is what is great about the ones we have here, they have something for everyone including great step by step how to pages.

If you are looking for an awesome book the Sketches Magazine by Becky Higgins is definately worth the money - I loved her first edition which I believe is a bible for serious scrappers - great layout ideas, and lets face it why reinvent the wheel - I look for inspiration and then get pleasure in adding my own creativity to it. She has just released a second edition which I don't find quite as user friendly - it is fantastic for go forward with scrapping when you can plan how to have your photos printed i.e. A5 or half size prints, but it is not particularly useful for all those photos you already have and want to scrap.

Kind regard

That's a great idea Katrina ! I had an Australian swap buddy on my PP swaps group last year and she sent me one of their SB mags and I really enjoyed it! I sent her an Annie Lang book which she did not have access to there..it was fun.

I'd love to do a trading pages swap. Jesse and I had talked about doing one the two of us before her accident....I wonder if we could get her family to send a few of us some of her photos, and we could each do a LO for her?

Just a thought...;)
