Monthly Swap package

Mar 10, 2006 8 Replies

Yesterday I went outside to roll in the trash can and found two triangular boxes on my porch. I wondered for a moment what they were until I saw the name and realized I had just gotten my first monthly swap package!!!!!!!

Each box contained two rolls of the most AMAZING handmade paper, exactly the right thing for a Paper floozie like me! I am, as we say around here, in hog heaven!

Thank you, Dorothy! Thank you SO MUCH! You did good, girl!

I already have plans for a couple of pieces. The white with blue flowers in it is going to be decopaged on a box I'm going to make to keep my earrings in, since there is no room for them in my jewelry box. Most of it will be used in cards and scrapbook pages.

It's so beautiful!

Hugs, Rach

Yay!!! I am so glad that they made it to you in good shape. I am so glad that you like them. I was a little worried but all is GOOD now. God Bless you Rach! Your NSSSF, Dorothy in NY

Sorry but this just struck me as really funny because the first thing that came to my mind was, "Why is she rolling around in her trash can?" until I realized that you were talking about a trash can that rolls!

LOL! Thanks for the laugh!

SNORK!!!!!!!!!

Everyone around here has a rolling trash can, and everyone talks about rolling it in and out, but I see your point!LOL

That IS HYSTERICAL!

Hugs, Rach

I have to say I had to reread the sentence myself, because I just knew she wasn't rolling around inside her trash can, but that was the picture in my head. haha

LOL I just thought Rach was a bit eccentric and overlooked it ..but I did laugh at the image it brought up! Keep 'em rolling ,Rach.

Hugs, Sabrina

Oh dear! *blush* LOL

My only excuse is that I'm currently sick with a huge fever, sorethroat, etc. Feel my pain! LOLOLOL

Sorry to hear you're sick Rach! I had to re read the trash can part also ..DH asked me what I was LOL about! :-)

Smile and get better!!!

Rach,

Sorry to hear that you're so sick. I can truly sympathize. My daughter had strep at the beginning of Feb. Of course, she was kind enough to share with me and I got it. I felt like I had this huge lump in my throat and I could hardly swallow at all without severe pain. It was so bad that I was having some bleeding from the sores in my throat and it was making me nauseous. Went through the course of antibiotics, then I fell and really banged the heck out of my knee and the day after I finished the meds, I woke up with a sore throat again and had to go back to get a stronger antibiotic. Also had the Dr. check my knee and had to have it X-rayed but luckily nothing was broken.

You know the saying, when it rains, it pours? Well, here's how the rest of my month went.

While I was at the Dr. the second time, my heart was racing (like 146-150 beats per minute) so he did an EKG and I had to go for an echocardiogram which was normal but I'm on a med to slow my heart down until I can get in to see a cardiologist on the 22nd. My blood work showed my thyroid is under active which is opposite of what would explain the rapid heart beat.

During all of this, both of our computers crashed which cost me about $375 to have them fixed and then the brake line on our van had corroded and was leaking. Luckily, I got my hubby to drive me to the echo appointment when he noticed the brake light flashing on. If I had been driving and the brakes gave out, I'm sure my heart would have been really racing!

So, as you can see, I totally understand where you're coming from and I do feel your pain. I think that's why your post was so great. I just really needed a good laugh.

I haven't worked on any scrapping for a long time but I still like to read about what everyone here is working on. I used to go once a week to my best friend's house but she had her first baby last summer so she doesn't have time to do it (which I totally understand since I have four kids) and then she moved last month. I guess I need to find a spot at my house to work and get back into it.

Happy scrapping and I hope you're feeling better soon!
