I did a couple of pages in the last couple of days. I seem to be hung up on orange! LOL
I really would appreciate some suggestions to improve my pages. I never seem to get them to look as good as the ones other people do.

I'm obviously the wrong person to try to answer you, because I think your pages are awesome.
Sorry Rach, can't help you on any suggestions, because both pages looks great! Love the leaves on your Autumn LO TFS!

Thank you! I've been searching for some technique tips. I'm going to make myself a "rule of thirds" template from a piece of cardstock and use it to help my placement. Maybe that will make me feel better about it.
The leaves came from the dollar store! LOL I have a thing for leaf patterns and motifs.
Yep, I concur, they're awesome. Maybe your just too touch on yourself as your work is beautiful.

Rach, I too think your pages look great. I love the way you embellished the first page - the frames are perfect on the page. The only thing that I might have done differently would have possibly been a strip of mesh across the bottom under the squares instead of the ribbon on the second page - but that is because I have this thing about using mesh or burlap on fall pages. I think your pages are wonderful. I truely mean it. The colors and embellishments all go together. Thanks for sharing.

Don't know about you, but I think they are great, and I'm going to scraplift some ideas from you! :-)

Rach I love the pages!! I think they look great, especially the one with the leaves. You know the ole saying, "You are your own worst critic!", well that sounds like me and you!!
If you want to tone them down a bit, paint, distress or chalk the edges of your mats.

Check out my pix and crafts!
I've never really known what to do with mesh. I'm going to have to try it.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Your pages look great Rach! I read an article last night about scrapbooking, and it talked about picking one color in your photos to work your colors around. Which you've done beautifully, I might add. :-) Keep it up!
Rach your pages are wonderful, I wouldn't change a thing. I love the witch on the Halloween page and the leaves on the fall page. Great work.
I'm glad you like the witch. I guess I'm nervous about my embellishments because I make most of them myself. I live in a very small town with only a Hobby Lobby and one small scrapbook store and don't always feel I can find what I want.
I print stuff on my computer, like the witch, and cut them out myself. To be honest, I love making the embellishments more than making the pages! LOL I love beautiful paper (I think that makes me a paper floozie, doesn't it? LOL)
Well, I'm rambling this morning. Have a great day!
I've only done the one book so far, for my sister:

Don't be nervous about making your own embellishments. You're very creative in doing that!
Very true! As a hobby, scrapping adjusts to both talent and style, not to mention that you don't waste a lot. The scraps are the BEST part of the paper as far as I'm concerned!LOL
Awesome book! You are VERY talented! LOVE your butterflies!
I have to agree with everyone else - I think your pages are beautiful!!!!! We are all our own worst critic - but your instincts seem right on. I drew a breath of "ooh, wow" the moment I saw them!

I too can't help you! Your pages look wonderful!!! Nice job, I really like the leaves in your fall one and the moons on the halloween one. I think your pages look as good as others.....
That's ok with me. I love a rebel! I'm one myself! LOL
