My NSD weekend in Abilene!

I'm glad you had such a great time. You got quite a bit done. The panthers chipboad-is it for the football team, the Panthers, or do you know?

Pretty good weekend here. I left Friday at 1pm and drove 4 hours to Abilene. I got there 1 hour early and decided to hit the Dollartree before I go. They had these little book kits with thin chipboard embellies for $1. I got 3 of them.

Got to the crop, brought all my stuff in, got a seat against the wall so no one had to walk around me. I got 2 pages done Friday night. To much talking going on! We played games too. They played bingo- one/three/blackout,we played a picture game-if you had a picture of what she asked for, then a did you do it bucket-pick out a phrase and if you done it -you choose from the freebie basket(once an hour). We had chicken fingers, rolls salad and potatoes and gravy for supper.

Left at midnight, went to a hotel 10 minutes away. Got up at 10 and took off to target. It was a regular target. The dollar bin had some jewels!! I bought all they had. They were perfect cause I used them on a layout that day too!Got to the crop one hour early. Worked on taking all my jewels out of their pkgs to save space. I use alot of the mayonaise oval containers now for storage. I did 9 pages by 10pm. Total pages done was 11 for this NSD weekend. We had subway sandwich for lunch and then lasanga for supper. I brought a case of my wild cherry diet pepsi for drinks. We played all the games from the day before and then a tool game. I won several things. Paper

2x, small card kit, some altering playing cards from bazzil basics, 2 chipboard books that say PANTHERS (hope someone can use this, I can't),an overlay perfect for my cruise album. I also got a bo bunny purse kit for coming.

They all called me the resident cruiser. We laughed, talked, joked and had so much fun. Almost more then going to sayre,ok. I will go again for laborday weekend. She said it would be a 3 day weekend then. So anyone wants to go, COME ON!!

well all was over faster then it started. I left at 11:45 and got home at

3:30am and went straight to bed. what a wonderful time I had!.....now hurry up next weekend so i cna do it again!!.

Wow you really got a lot done, April and had a great time too!

My weekend was a bust, I wasn't feeling well nor was DH so I stayed in bed all weekend. What a bummer, I had some fun stuff planned!

Sounds like a great weekend. I completely forgot about it being NSD! Guess that happens when you have a new baby. I've been off two months now, and haven't got to do much at all. I'm going to Tammy's on Thursday to scrap some. I need a weekend crop to get stuff done...lol!

Wow! you had a full weekend. It's good to hear that you had a good time. I spent my NSD garage saleing. It was our city wide garage sale weekend so I took the day off from work. I did find one sale that had several Stampin'Up stamp sets for a bargain. I bought a couple but should've gone back for some more. Que sera, shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Sounds like you had a great weekend April! You got a lot of good deals, too.

By chance, which scrapbook store is this? DH & I will be in Abilene 2 Saturdays in June to drop off & pick up the kids for their visit with my parents this summer. DH mentioned last night about going to the srapbook store. :-) One of our trips through there, we stopped at an LSS called Scrapbook Junkie. I was wondering if it was the same one you went to.

That sounds like the same one. This one was on 14th. Yay! Hopefully we'll be able to go by there.

We'll be there June 7th and 21st. Abilene is the halfway point between here and NM. We're not able to go out there for a vacation, but worked it out so at least the kids could go visit. DH & I will have 2 weeks to ourselves, but he'll still be working. Although we're planning on taking in a movie or two somewhere in there! Wow....all those days of having the house to myself, whatever shall I do??? Hmm...maybe rearrange my craft room? Scrap to my heart's content?

i think that was the old name of it. It is in a tiny strip of stores across from the subway. It is on 14th I believe. They are only open 5:30-? tues-thurs and fri is 5:30-? crops usually and sat 11-? closed Sun Mon. The owner is Karla and she works for the Sherriffs dept during the days so she doesn't get there till 5:30 to open it.

Nope. From LR straight to Dallas to Abilene. When we go to NM, we go from Abilene to Big Spring to LaMesa then to NM.
