Negative Frames

Mine were regular negative size. Today I saw them in so many different sizes. Anyhow to cover them I cut a 2 1/2 inch square of paper of my choice. Then I centered the negative drawing an X in the center from corner to corner. I then picked up the paper minus slide frame and cut the X. Using temporary roll on glue so negative frame wouldn't slip I recenter the frame. Folded the triangles from the center of frame trimming any bit that hung over outside edge and sticking them down. Then I folded outside edges over sticking them down. I cut a vellum saying to stick in the middle and then stuck the whole thing to another 2 1/2 inch square for matting. Am I making sense? It was fun and easy and now I wonder why I haven't done it more.

Lynne, I loved your lo with the frames. i used some last year on a couple of lo's and liked them too. They are not overly bulky or fat in some people's terms here (LOL!) I liked using them as a tag if you wish, vs making them into shaker boxes which are more of a challenge.

(still telling ME that I will not buy any more paper this year!)

I don't like a lot of bulky embellishments and that has kept me looking at these verses using them. Now that I have I'll definitely use them more. They are pretty thin. I'll have to try the shaker box idea. Sounds like you've got plenty of paper to cover some of these little frames for your LOs. :D

Wow Lynne! I love those LOs. I'll have to keep that in mind to scraplift. You are very talented.
