New NSSSF Round

It is that time again. The sign up for the new round will be now till Aug

30th. Hope everyone can join in the fun! See below for all the details.

NSSSF GUIDELINES

If you would like someone to share your scrapbooking accomplishments with personally.... someone to encourage you to do more pages, someone to exchange little gifts of encouragement with.... and best of all, someone from our wonderful newsgroup to get to know better... Join the Not So Secret Scrapbooking Friend (NSSSF) Swap.

The following guidelines have been established to help organize NSSSF and hopefully assuage hurt feelings and misunderstandings.

  1. Commit to uplifting your NSSSF at least once each month during a three-month session with a surprise gift. Problems may arise from time to time. If you cannot meet this commitment, send your Not So Secret Scrapbook Friend Monitor (Monitor) e-mail. The important thing is to let your Monitor know as soon as possible. Hopefully, this will eliminate someone from having hurt feelings or being left out. Note: Feel free to send little surprises more often, but send something at least once a month. If after one month your NSSSF has not received/ heard anything from you, a friendly reminder will be sent to you. If no action is taken, the Monitor will assign a new NSSSF and your participation in this session will end.

  1. Items must be sent via "Snail" mail. In other words, gifts must arrive at your NSSSF's home or mailing address. You may also send e-mail, postcards, greeting cards, virtual flowers real flowers and messages.

  2. THANKS. PLEASE thank your NSSSF for EVERYTHING you receive. You may post these messages directly on the newsgroup. This is the only way she will know that you have received what she sent.

  1. If at any time you wish to end your participation, notify your NSSSF and Monitor immediately.

  2. If, after reading the guidelines, you would like to participate, please E-MAIL the following information to your Monitor: snipped-for-privacy@sbcglobal.net Your Monitor will do her best to match you with another scrapbooker who shares your interests, scrapbooking level and is in the same gift range, however, the Monitor reserves the right to match scrapbookers without regard to criteria. If the match is not acceptable, contact Monitor as soon as possible.

  1. Have fun and enjoy!

The session is from Sept 1 - Nov 30, 2004. Each Friend will be paired with another scrapbooker (that's why we call it "Not So Secret" Friend).

Copy the following form and please fill in the following autobiographical data sheet. Send it to snipped-for-privacy@sbcglobal.net ******(DO NOT POST BIO ON NEWSGROUP)*****:

To do a search in our google group do the following:

Go to rec.crafts.scrapbook in google. Then do a search for your screen name. Make sure the search is only for the rec.crafts.scrapbook group. Then sort the search by date.

Lacey the earlist post I found for you was April 26th. Please let me know if you find something earlier in the year.

Hi Caitlin - I did an Advanced Search on Google and finally found your first post - It was on Feb 17, 2003. I thought you were here before me (I guess we've both been here a long time:) but I found mine was Jan 23, 2003. If you did a regular search for your name, it probably didn't go back all the way so I did the advanced search and set the dates between Dec 2002 and March 2003 and that's how I found it.

Lacey, I found you started posting regularly on April 26, 2004. You posted one time before that on July 9, 2003 - the post was about the smallest xyron and it doesn't seem like it was that long ago!
