Update on M-C and her husband

I'm back home after spending several hours with M-C at the hospital while her husband was in surgery today and she wanted me to give you all an update.

The doctor reported everything went well, however, he also took out her DH's gallbladder, which wasn't planned, because the gallbladder didn't look good at all. Her DH was going to be returned to his room in just a short while, so I left to come home.

I had a little goodie bag of scrapbooking goodies to bring home, which was very sweet of her to do.

I'm posting through Google from our hotek room north of Atlanta.

I spent most of the day watching CNN and Charley. I was worried for all my friends in Florida and now that most of them dodged the bullit, /I get to worry about my DS who is at a friend's place in Daytona!

My DH is doing OK. Rather sore from the surgery but otherwise things are looking up. We leave here early tomorrow morning and I hope that I'll have the stamina to drive right through to North Little Rock.

I'd like to thank all of you for your support and prayers please keep them coming as we can still use them. My prayers are with all of you in Charley's path. Stay inside and stay safe.

Hugs, M-C

M-C, so glad DH is better. I'll say my prayers for you and DH, don't keep driving if you get too tired though, not worth it. Be careful,

Thanks Kenda and all...

Well we made it home safe and sound. Kenda that marvelous woman gave me back a home that is in even better shape than I left it.

DH is sore, tired and cranky, which makes two of us, LOL. I'm hoping that just like the Dr said, he'll feel pretty much better by Monday.

I'm ready to have some fun!!!

As for Charley, I was on the phone with my DH when it went through Daytona. Here is hoping that Carol (PurplRags) is OK. My DH who lives in Deland and his friend at whose house he thought he'd be safer, both were still without power tonight. From what I've heard, a tree was uprooted at my old house in PArrish, but that was pretty much the extent of the damage. Sure hope that Tabitha is OK!

M-C I know you must be tired....I thought your DH was with you in NLR and your DS was in FL....(ducking and running for cover! No telling what M-C will toss at me! LOL ) On a serious note, so glad DS missed the brunt of the storm.

Glad to hear he is doing okay MC. Take this time to recoup, too. You've been working hard and you need some R&R. I pray he recovers quickly and easily and you two can go on enjoying your new home and new friends!

Glad to hear this MC and hope you have a safe trip back home. If I hadn't had such a bad week I'd have loved to have drove down and met you since I'm about 50 miles outside Atlanta. However my dad and his wife died this week and I'm not in the best shape.

Oh my goodness Michelle!!! I am so sorry to hear that. You have my sympathies. My prayers and thoughts accompany you during what must be a horribly difficult time. There will be another trip to Atlanta when we can meet.

God bless and please do take care of yourself, M-C
