Yes I have been lurking, reading what I could which unfortunately isn't everything! I know that many of you are doing the Catch-Up Challenge which is just great! I'm hoping to get going on it as soon as I'm released from total bed rest, whcich was imposed on me today! I've been using the carepages to update people since it allows me to talk to everyone in one update a day.

I've been doing great until they tested my blood today to make sure that my blood wasn't getting too thin. With a surgery such as mine, you have to take a blood thinner for 3 weeks to make sure that you don't have blood clots develop that could go to your lungs ot brain and cause serious damage. Today they found that it had gotten too thin so I was ordered to bed and physio has been suspended until my blood is back in the "normal" thin range. Apparently not only is there danger if you brush your teeth to strongly but also of internal bleeding occuring if you bump into something.

And here I was doing so well, got out og the hospital a mere 40 hours after surgery. Being allowed to use a cane from day 4 post op and walking around pretty well. I guess I overdid it todat sweeping and washing the kitchen floor. Shhhh don't mention it on the carepage or Rick will kick my butt!

Anyhow, I've been so lucky and cheered up by my friends and family and I hope that you'll all say a little prayer that I'm back up and working on my lef in the next day or two!

Don't worry about Rick but worry about us. We'll just have to glue stick/hot glue/ duct tape you to the bed. Leave the house alone. Or we'll take away your LSS priviledges for two years.

Happy Birthday MC!!!! I do hope you're staying in bed now and ignoring the floors. Shame on you young lady. :-) Just do what you've been told to do (and NOT do) by the doctors and PT and in no time you'll be back up and doing what you love.

Ijust happened into the old stomping grounds and saw that it was your birthday.. well.. yesterday was! I hope life is treating you grand.. and that the years are getting better every year!!
