New Swap - Secret Message In A Bottle

If you have ever wanted to find a Message in a Bottle with lots of scrapbook items that you've wanted then this is the swap for you. ( I found this idea on the net somewhere and it sounded great to me :) The other people that did this it sounded like it worked out great )

Everyone will write out a wish list of scrapbook items that they would want. Then you would send that list along with your name, address, email address and if you want to do the $5, $10, or $15 bottle or all 3 to me at: snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net You have until September 11th to email me your information. Then I will pair everyone up and email everyone on September

12th or 13th with the name and wish list and address of the person they are paired with. Just keep who you have a secret. You will have until October 11th to get the bottle sent to the person that you have. Ok now that we have the preliminarys out of the way, now for the good stuff. :)

What you do is go shopping for that person. You can also make homemade items too. Then you will take a 2 -liter bottle and cut a little door in the side of the bottle and put everything that you bought inside this bottle. You also write a little note to the person that you have and put it in the bottle too.. Hence the name of the swap message in a bottle. You can tell the person a little about yourself and whatever else you would like to write. Then you tape up the door really good and I mean really good.. Then you tape up the top of the bottle really good too. Then you wrap up the bottle and put the mailing labels on there and send it off.

We will have three groups. So if you want to receive 3 bottles then sign up for all the groups. The 3 groups will consist of a:

$5 Bottle $10 Bottle $15 Bottle

So as you can tell if you sign up for all the bottles then you will spend a total of $30.

So if you are interested in this swap please email me by September 11th :)

Thanks. Tabitha FL

Yeah the thing that I saw said that you could... And the reason I know it works is because I saw the posts about people receiving their bottles :)

My husband mailed the kids and I a coconut with a message on it. It was the funniest thing to see in the mailbox. So, a bottle wouldn't be any more weird than that.

You can mail anything that can hold a tag of some sort and postage, as long as it's not toxic or leak-able. The stampers have for a long time been having TTPO swaps (tweakthepostoffice swaps!)...you end up receiving all kinds of things in the mail...blow up dolls, flippers, flamingos....etc
