New to group (sort of!)

Cheryl from Wisconsin here - I've been reading this group for months and feel almost like I already know all of you! I de-lurked last week, but only posted twice because posting thru Google is a pain - and not an hour after I set up the account with them I had an in-box full of spam and virus attachments.

So now I've figured out a way around that. Here's hoping that you all can help me get inspired to actually do something with all these supplies I've been buying! It's getting kind of embarassing to be shopping and have the clerks all go "Oh, so you do a lot of scrapbooking" and have to reply "Well no, but I keep buying the stuff to do it...."

Welcome, Cheryl! I'm sure you'll find lots of ideas here to help you get started. And remember, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! You'll get lots of good information from the ladies and men here. Caitlin in WA

Welcome to RCS Cheryl. That might explain my recent increase in spam, as I had to use Google temporarily a few weeks ago.

You ladies (and gents) have already been unbelievably helpful just from following you! How else would I have known that I could not live without a Cutterbee scissors, and that eyelets are so much fun, and the wonders of vellum....

Problem is, I haven't actually used any of these items on scrapbook pages yet! However, DH decided that this year we would make handmade Christmas cards as a family project, and darned if all that scrapbooking stuff doesn't work just fine for those as well....

Welcome Cheryl! Making Christmas cards is fun!!!!!!!!

those are things that are treasured for a life time.. would love to see some when ya get them done! helps motivate those of us that just like to look at our scrap stuff!

My favorite so far is has a clothesline stretched across (attached to brads!) with little boxer shorts, panties a bra and a t-shirt that I made out of red & green patterned paper. Under the clothesline it says "When you don't believe in Santa Claus..." and inside it says "you get underwear for Christmas". I actually got to use those teeny-tiny clothespins from the dollar store that I couldn't resist because they were just too cute.

oh now i like that one! ALOT... thinkin back on all those years of the dreadded tube of undies under the tree! ARG

Welcome Cheryl....
