Well, apparently these things are very limited. If you go to the companies web site:

And, go in to the FAQs section, the first question is very telling. I quote: "1. Can I buy more labels to go with my Sound StripesT Kit? No. When the 30 labels have been used to make recordings, the digital memory in the recorder is full. The labels simply tell the recorder which message to play. Once your Sound StripesT recorder is full, you need to purchase another kit. Just as you may own more than one album, you may own more than one Sound StripesT kit to go with your albums."

Seems like a pretty poor way to go. The strips in the album are worthless without the recorder/player unit, meaning unlike the other recorder options for scrapbooks if you loose it the stripe is just junk.

Not very well thought out in my opinion. Especially when it costs $40 for 30 recordings.

Good point, if you use it to record grandma's words and then the recorder breaks the strip is useless and grandma's voice recording is toast.

Yah, I call that the fly in the butter milk. I think if it wasn't for that it might be ok for the price. I mean I figure that over 50 years or more the chances of the hand held unit getting lost or broken is pretty good.

The voice buttons maybe bigger but they are standalone and should be harder to mess up unless you mess up the album and/or page too.

I think voice and must added to a page would be great. Especially of people that have passed away. It would be a great link to your family and your history and it might also make you cry.

Very neat. I bought a small happy birthday button thing awhile back on ebay and put it behind a die cut. It was really neat to add something like that.

Very true! That would be something neat to have in a scrapbook. I can see where it would make you cry too. Just looking at the pictures and remembering the memories and then to push a button and here their voice. You better have a box of kleenex by.

Hmmm. I would if we could get Kleenex to make little scrapbookable boxes of tissue?!?!

with technology today, I'm hoping someone will invent a mini flat screen where we could upload a video with sound to add to the layout as well.

I've got some priceless videos and wish I could add to a layout.

is great but it is only a temporary website that I doubt will be around for 40-50 years.

If digital paper ever makes it to the main stream you could. Digital paper is electronic paper that can show video, animation, text, etc. It would be like having a reusable piece of paper that you can load with whatever you want.

Right now they are looking to use it for large TV's. Imagine a 20 foot TV that mounts to the wall and weighs only a couple of ounces.

Video in a scrapbook would be cool, especially with stereo sound!
