OT: Baby

Greetings and salutations!

I haven't posted a whole lot lately because this pregnancy has gotten the best of me lately...(and I fell the other day and have been *in bed* for the last few days...)

Well, I am not sure if things have gotten better or worse...we had our ultrasound yesterday. No, we didn't find out if it's a girl or a boy....but we did find out that our due date is *OFF* by like 6 weeks. The U/S technician thinks that we're all nuts to think that this baby's gonna wait until January 6th.......or even wait til Christmas......or maybe even til Thanksgiving!! Can we say

*SURPRISE!!!* (And just for reference, baby #1 turns ONE the day before Thanksgiving,)

Sooooooooooooooo, there's the baby update from here!

Oh gosh.. I hope that you are ok. Just keep us posted. Do you want to wait until the baby is born to find out if it is a he/she? Happy Early bday to baby #1 :) Take care and just update us when you can.

Whoa!!! That is a *huge* discrepancy. Are you positive about your dates? JMO, but I would really check with your OB/midwife on this soon. Maybe get another ultrasound as a second opinion?

Wow Theresa you have your hands full. Whenever I feel overwhelmed with my kids I'd just think about my poor cousin who had twins 2 months before her

1st son turned one. Thank goodness for ultra sounds so you can be prepared... as prepared as one can be. :D

I hope you're feeling better after you're fall. I know that can seem a lot scarier when you're pregnant. Take care and keep us updated. I love hearing about all these babies from this group.

All the best, Lynne

Glad that you and baby are ok. Soak it up in the bed, you know you will not get that much rest for a while.

Just take care of yourself and that baby Teresa. Sounds like they sure were off w/ that due date though. Sure puts y'all in a rush huh?

My ex of 8 yrs has a sister and for two weeks every year they're the same age. He was born three months premature in 1970 at 1#, a true miracle baby to survive back then. I used to tell him that if he'd been on time he might not have a sister at all. lol

Glad to hear you and the baby are OK after the fall. I have a sister and brother born 3 years and a day apart. It can be interesting. I'll keep you and the baby in my thoughts.

Wow Theresa!

Hope the fall wasn't to serious, or did it just leave you shaky?

A shorter full term pregnancy sounds like a good thing to me:>)

You are in for alot of fun now aren't you??:>)

Take it as easy as you can now, you'll definatly need your strength later:>)

Geezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...I want a baby so bad!!!.....I got a 12 yr old boy from a former marriage but hubby and I have exhausted all measures and just want to adopt now..... Its too expensive though...we need a private adoption.... I would rather spend my money on the child, not the agency's fees for this and fees for that......

oooooooooooooooo!*stamping feet in frustration* I want a baby!!! LOL

Uhhhhhhhh...........wanna rent mine for awhile? ;-) No, seriously, he's a joy and I can't complain too much...except that he's getting a bit heavy to be picking up!

My brother and sister-in-law are in the same boat as you. They want a baby (and have for a long time now) and are waiting for an adoption. And...here I just keep getting pregnant without trying. Life is not fair!

Well, the fall was serious enough that I am still limping a week later. I landed on my right butt cheek and we think that I might have pinched a nerve because if I don't take it easy and remember to take the Tylenol, I feel it down to my toes.

I guess that a shorter pregnancy would be a good thing except we have nothing ready for the new baby and nowhere to put anything. (We moved to a smaller house this past April because of finances.) I will feel better one I'm done...but trying to get everything together quicker is a bit tough.

Thanks! :-) Theresa in IL

Just to be clear, I'm not pregnant but I did fall about 2 weeks ago. I fell down our stairs and like you landed on my right cheek. I had a HUGE bruise and was so sore for about a week. The bruise is gone but the site is still sensitive.

You stay pregnant for a while longer and let the baby grow. Try to rest when you can. Good luck, Lynette in AL

Oh Theresa.

Take it easy, the last think you need is a bad hip during delivery.

After the epideral you'll be saying.... "Hip... what hip?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

After the first baby....I've got mixed emotions about epidurals. I had to have 2 because the first didn't *take*. Now THAT was fun.......(NOT!)

If it goes right, I'll be verrrrrrrrrrrrrry happy to not notice any pain. :-)

I didn't get to have an epidural with either of my children. They said when you want one just ask. When I did they said, "Sorry Mrs. Miles it's too late." I guess I'm too much of a trouper. So, I tell my friends don't wait. If you want one ask early!

I wish you all the best. I felt that if I was having the baby in the hospital they'd take good care of me and help me make it through epidural or not. I had the best nurses including my husband and mom who are nurses. I trusted them to take care of me when I couldn't really care for myself.
