Hello everyone, I haven't posted in a long while .......nor really kept up with anything as I've been very ill, in between starting a new job and hosting guests non-stop for about 5 months. For the past few months, no one could figure out what was making me ill. But finally, I was diagnosed with a liver hemangioma (not sure of the spelling). And now I'm about 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. My doctor doesn't seem to be of much help with the liver issue.....she sent me to a high risk OB who just did an ultrasound of the baby and charged med $350 for it. I do know now that I was born with it and there's really no medicine I can take for it. I don't think it's very huge right now but I'm just concerned whether this will create complications later in the pregnancy for either myself or the baby......was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or knows where I might turn to find out more.
To keep this on topic, I'm cross-stitching an ABC afghan for the baby's crib. We got a wonderful deal from our neighbor on a crib their baby rarely used that was an extra at the grandparents' home. It's solid cherry and has all turned legs like the ones I remember from when my baby brother and sister were born.......many years ago. I don't like the new painted stuff out there - it just doesn't look sturdy. And, this one matches my other furniture, too!
