My "baby" (youngest son will be 11 tomorrow) has told us that he will not be trick-or-treating tonight. It felt like a knife in my stomach! Am I old enough that all my boys are done trick-or-treating...and by HIS choice???? When did this happen? He skipped a grade and I think his school buddies aren't going so he isn't either. This is one of those things that I guess I loved more than they did.

My son did the same thing and I almost felt the same way. I kept thinking something was wrong. Someone had teased him or that I wasn't attentive to what costume he wanted. I finally just let it go and let him make his on decision. The 2nd year I didn't say much and let his decision stand, but he had not explanation for me. This year he said earlier in October out of the blue the reason he loved not dressing was the passing out of the Halloween candy. He liked that he could eat as much as he wanted and only eat his favorites. So, there you have it I have some sort of explanation 2 years later and knowing that he's happy with his decision makes me happy.... finally. hehehe. I still have my 10 year old daughter, who did such a good job with her vampire makeup that someone actually thought she had real bruises all over her. She was very impressed with herself. haha

My DD is wanting to take her b/f little sister trick or treating. Big brother usually does it but he has to work. Mom was going to do it but...........something tells me that my DD is wanting to be a part of Monica's special event. Then again, it could just be that she hopes to still be there when her b/f gets home from work. Hmmmmm S

LOL They do grow up fast, don't they? Our two are still young enough to enjoy Halloweeen though.

DD is sooo bummed. B/f family declined her offer to take his little sister trick or treating. Oh well........ S

Nothing special here. As usual it started raining as evening set in. Looks like we probably won't be getting many trick or treaters.

We got 1 more trick or treater this year than we did last year. Needless to say one only got 1 this year. But the boys were happy, they got all the candy that didn't get handed out. Sigh, that's what we get for living in a neighborhood where all the kids are growning up!

They stopped here by the car load, LOL. Must have seen 60-80 little ghosts and goblins!
