Just thought you might like some company. Alan came home the other night and says, "I think my truck is broke." What makes you say that sweetie? "It was running rough on the way tothe union meeting and on the way home it started making a really awful clattering. Guess I'll go swap the trucks so I can drive the kids to work tomorrow. I'll have to have it looked out."
So I go outside with him, he starts it up and OMG!!!!!!!!!! I know he HAD to let it run while swapping vehicles but it didn't make it anybetter, I cringed the whole time. And told him it sounded like he threw a rod. The truck has been a ticking timebomb since he drove it until there was no more OIL in it about 6 years ago! LOL I love the man dearly but he is NOT what one would call mechanically inclined.
We have a friend coming by to look at it tonight. He's the fire department's mechanic so we know he knows what he's talking about. I told Alan we either have to buy another truck or replace the motor. (sometimes you just know in your gut these things) So, since we don't have the $$ for another vehicle payment looks like it'll be a new motor.
Truck needs a hug, where are ya Dave!! {{HUGS TO YOU}}
