I was shocked and pleased when I got a phone call from Dave last night. I thought he was up north somewhere after seeing both Linda and Shannon this week. He called a few miles out and I gave him directions to the house. DH tried to stay up till he got here, but was just too exhausted. He told me to come up and get him when Dave arrived, but we didn't want to wake him up. He's been so tired lately - just hasn't jumped back from the last pancreatitis attack in March yet. DD and DS visited for a while before heading off to bed. DS was impressed as he had never seen a big truck at our house before and couldn't understand how Dave took it apart. (He left the trailer down toward the Interstate in a parking area.) Dave and I shared stories, technique ideas and albums (of course mine were LO's in boxes instead of albums). He also brought me some really cute embellishment buttons - Christmas, Gardening and Wilderness - all of which I can use. I showed him my scrap area and he gave me some great ideas for storage and ways to display my cards. We talked until 11 PM. I know that's late for me, but I can make it up tonight. After he left I went to bed as usual, thinking everything was ready for tomorrow. Duh - I forgot to get out the cots for the daycare. When the first family arrived this morning we had to scurry around and get them out. Oh well! It was worth the visit to see and talk to Dave again. Hope he makes it home safe and sound this morning - he was sleeping in the truck last night in the parking area off the Interstate. Sandy
