Gallery Update

Hi all. I was very busy last weekend getting some layouts done, and haven't managed to get anything else done all week, except for getting everything scanned last night. I am still trying to challenge myself to do 30 pages in 30 days for April, and by doing 7 pages last weekend, I got myself ahead of the game. Good thing too -- this week has just been nuts.

Anyway, I've got a new folder for April, and you can see all of the layouts here:

They're great Julie! I really like your style of scrapping. Your LO's are always great to look at.

Julie, I really like your LO of your son! I may have to "scraplift" the idea, if you don't mind.

Thanks everyone - you all always have such kind words!

I had to laugh about your comment though, Kendra.. I didn't even think about the fact that it's not labeled. He's not my son. It's my brother. Granted, there's a 20 year gap, so I can certainly see where many may think he was mine. But he's not. I just have very strange parents. ;-)

But do feel free to scraplift - it was no work at all. Mom gave me one of his school pictures, but it was just a wallet size. So I scanned it, and then printed it larger on vellum to kind of soften it - and print out the words at the same time. I had to back the actual picture part with cardstock so the busy background paper wouldn't show through his face, but then attached that with a couple of brads, and that was it.

That's really something - there is 20 years between my son and my oldest DD, and 21 between his and his brother. We have a strange family too. My oldest grandson and my youngest son are 19 days apart. Sandy

Julie, I love your layouts, especially the one called "Love that face". The photo is so unusual and atmospheric... sometimes the unexpected photos are the best and can be greatly enhanced by using the right things on the page.
