New layout - 40 photos/1 page

There was a recent thread about doing collages on a page, and after all of that, I realized that a photo collage was the perfect way to use up some of my leftover photos and make a title page for my last album. So, I started digging through, and put my 1 9/16" square McGill punch to work. My wrists are a bit sore, but I think that punch just officially earned its keep. :-)

It's in the gallery.. but here's a direct link:

Wow, that's impressive and looks so great too. I'm thinking I better start saving the extra photos for a montage like this.

Now go ice that wrist. :D

Wow!!! That looks great - would make a great title page for my family reunion album. I could use all the left-over photos. Thanks for the idea and for sharing. Sandy

Wow, what a cool idea. I usually do my title pages first ( or at least early on but I may have to rethink that occasionally so can use my extra photos as an overview of what is to come.)

I usually do my cover page first also. I have a few event-based albums, but most are chronological, so my cover page is just the year. But I just never got around to it this time, and it was one of the last pages I needed to do before filing it on the bookshelf upstairs.

I had seen layout ideas that looked like that too, and I just never could imagine how in the world to get a picture that small without doing all kinds of resizing work using software, which seemed like a chore for so many pictures. But with my square punch, it was extremely easy. And it was easy to let go of the details of the rest of the picture, considering the events represented were all cropped in full later in the book.

I'm so glad so many of you consider it scraplift-worthy! Julie

I really liked that title page! I think it kind of reminds me of a high school yearbook, the way they put random pictures on pages like collages! Ya know, I have three complete scrapbooks, and I never even thought of making a title page for any of them! DUH! Ok, the next ones I will have to remember that! TFS!!

Great! And recommend another powerful but easy-mastered software for making collages - Wondershare Photo Collage Studio.

You know what? That would make a great index page, too. You could scan in the photos and print them in small sizes (or rather "size") for the page.
