OT DO NOT LET YOUR INSURANCE LAPSE!

I wish OKLAHOMA would tie insuance to vehcle reg's. There has ben fighting in legislatue past couple of years and in OUR true politician "form" they cry we can't afford it, and on and on. Anyhow they say oe in

3 drivers here are insured. I know several that have been involved, err HIT by one and you can not believe the messes. I had one hit me about 3 years ago and know too.

With the new vehicle I just bought last month, I was also surprised at the bank when they put on a $400 fee that covered losses caused by non-insured. GRRR!!! I with no say so have to pay anyhow.

I also learned about lapsing home insurance years ago. They will cancel you and depending on the company will not renew it, make you get a appraisal or whatever.

There literaly is SOME things you SHOULD PAY ON TIME irregardless on how you may think about it.

You could always put the car and insurance in your name.

Sorry to hear of your travails. I had a minor incident with DMV last year. Sent in my registration WITH proof of insurance and then sent me a note saying my car would be impounded if caught on the road since I did NOT send in the proof of insurance. I was Mrs. Furious. I drove up there stood in line... got a number to wait for the next line and finally got to the window. Told the gal my problem and she said "Oh here you go" and just handed me my new registration sticker.

So, hang in there and vent with us any time. I feel your aggravation!

A friend of my son's was hit head-on one night by a drunk uninsured driver. He (the friend) was 25 years old and spent over 3 months in the hospital, a good part of the time in the critical care unit. His own auto insurance paid until it reached the ceiling amount. They took the girl to court. She lost her license and was ordered to pay on the bills, and can't get her license back until the bills are paid off - which will never happen as they are in the thousands. The whole thing ruined him financially. Sandy

Thanks Everyone....my days have been tiring...I have been falling asleep at my PC...

Before picking up DH I took his Mom to the bank to get the Birth Certificate outta the safe deposit box...well got a bit of a SNAFU at the bank they lost her sign in card the teller says ohh I apologize someone must of mis filed your card....had to go back to her desk enter info into the PC print out a new card....DH Mom says and here I thought it would be easier acess to it when needed...guess I was wrong.

I now pay my insurance over the phone w/my CC...NO MORE CHECKS...also found out paying at there website there was few problems posting a few days later.

It's not like I didn't have insurance at all like some drivers out there no DL driving an uninsured vehicle

Finally on Friday the 13th was a lucky day for DH and I

We went to DMV got both of DH suv's registration reinstated....DH got his non-driver ID because we had enough info to meet the 6 points for identity plus a Birth Certificate. When we got home DH put the new plates on his suvs....yeah 1st time we actually have matching plates one ends in a 1 then the other in a 2....How funny is that.... Only had 1 problem yesterday the lady at DMV printed the registration but the sticker paper was fed in crooked so she had to print another one charged my CC 2 times for $18.00....well at least it wasn't the more expensive registration that was over $100.00 since almost time to renew for 2 more years....then I'd be out the money I needed to pay for the rental car today.... I rented a PONTIAC G6 for 8 days it's a kewl car...especially for me since I am afraid of small cars didn't think I'd be able to drive anything smaller than the Ford Explorer. Lots of room from the winshield to the seat your not squished up in front of the windshield glass. DH says you step on the gas you get put back in your seat.

Trying to figure out which vehicle gets better gas mileage My EXPY gets 300 miles per fill-up of about 24 gallons the G6 only got 288 miles per fill-up of 10 - 12 gallons gas went up again I paid $2.99 gallon

I had a Honda Prelude years ago got into an accident with then was terrified of cars. This may sound strange but I had my tea flip up then land right back down on the floor right side up after the crash, the radio popped outta the dashboard.

OK ....better post this much before I fall asleep again while on my PC while DH and the girlz are snoring away.
