Friends, I thought I should pass it along, and hope you will too. Please go on line and check your drivers license. Few people know it but you can see any ones Drivers License on the Internet. I just searched for mine and there it was...picture and all! I removed mine. I suggest you go on line and do the same.

Go to the web site and check it out. Just enter your name, city and state and you will see that yours is on file unless you "opted out" earlier. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove". This is the "opt out" button that will remove your license from public viewing, but not from law enforcement on official business.

That is really terrifying. I live "in hiding" from an ex who tried to kill me and my son. I thought I was safer than I am I guess.

When I pulled up the site after it loaded I was laughing so hard. So I had DH come in and read the post and he instantly became mad and he turns to me and real angery says "For Real" and I nod and told him yeah my license is out there I just did the opt out but he needs to do the same. Then when it loaded it he started laughing. Thanks for the good laugh.

you got me - I thought it was serious too.....

Phew!

Although, for $$$ I am sure it is possible to find almost anyone online. I have a friend who is also hiding, and she shows up online with her exes last name at her current address!! And that was a free search. Eeek!

DH's younger brother had gone missing about six years ago after his dad died. (He's 40, but still needs to grow up some if you know what I mean) We knew he had gone toward Wisconsin as that's where his ex lives, but he answers no mail at her old address and neither does she, but nothing comes back. Recently we found out he's definitely there as he used DH's SS and ID for utilities, etc and left bills that are starting to show up on our credit report. After DH's dad died, I asked DH to be sure to go through all the papers at his dad's house and not leave anything behind connected with him. But his sisters raised such a stink about going through their parent's stuff that DH just walked away. This brother lived in the house for about 6 months before he left. I guess he found something he could use. He also used ID on one of his sisters for utilities. I just hope he also useduses info on the two sisters that caused all of the trouble, too. DH's parents died within 6 months of each other and DH was in charge of the estate. He took care of all the bills and everything else, but as far as the house he just took a picture off the wall and walked out and left them to fight it out. Sandy
