OT - Furbaby Prayers needed

My dearest PJ kitty (Princess Jasmine) has been ill....I've had her 12 years, but I want to keep her a few more. She and I have been through a lot together, and she is my first cat as an adult. I still don't know exactly what is wrong, but apperantly her liver may be damaged. I understand that it may be treatable with work, and a lot of love and money. You are all so wonderfuil and supportive, all I ask is you send some positive energy our way for a quick recovery!!! Thank you so much, Jessica

THANK YOU to all of you for contributing your warm wishes.

She is not 100% out of the woods, the biopsy takes a few days, and will be the final indicator as to what is wrong.

However, they suspect "Fatty Liver Disease" which is treatable and recoverable in many cats. SO, she is spending the weekend in the hospital with the vets who will take excellent care of her, and then I will have to feed her through a tube for a few weeks. So - please keep up the positive thinking and support. YOu all are the BEST!

And prayers to everyone else out there who needs them.

Thanks again to all of your good wishes.

My sweet baby is home, but not out of the woods yet. She had a blood transfusion the other day, and will need to be fed through a tube for several weeks, several times a day. I am trying to get friends and neighbors to help in that effort so I can minimize time off work.

It's a bit overwhelming, but at this point, I can't give up.

So, please keep thinking positive thoughts.

We still have a long ways to go - it can take several weeks to recover. The good news is she does not have cancer, and that this is a curable disease, so it's a bit like having an infant, with 2 am feedings and bodily fluids involved. :)
