2.54 here on Friday but i saw some yesterday for 2.45. Better go jump on that as that is a bargain!! LOL!!!!

It is really startingto hitthe trucking industry A LOT. What is so sad is that 99% of people outthere do not realize or think that "If you bought it, a truck brought it." So prices on everything is going to start if they have not already go up.

Finally, what do you use to heat YOUr home with? I am lucky I have electric heat (all electric home) but it does concern me for those on set incomes as gas prices are unreal, and that is not to mention coal, fuel oil, and propane. If the weather trend from past couple years continues and the wild weather everywhere, it is going to be a long real bad winter in more ways than one.

My thoughts and prayers for those less fortunate.

Dave a lot of prices are starting to go up, especially shipping charges. And of course everything else is bound to follow soon, milk, bread and so forth as farmers and bakeries and dairies etc are all forced to pay higher prices to get ther products trucked to market. The trucking industry has no choice than to pass on the cost, they simply cannot absorb it and survive. I guess that is the price you have to pay if you are a country dependant on imported oil and who have insufficient refineries at home to get the little that you do produce from the ground to the service station. Unfortunately all of "industrialized" nations are pretty much in the same boat! You would think we would have learned our lessons in the 80s, but no, still our homes, cars and so forth relly way too heavily on mid-eastern oil.

BTW, gas here, in North Little Rock, AR was $2.56 last night at the corner station.

Our gas here in Danville, IL has gone down to $2.66 a gallon from $2.75! The grocery supply warehouse that our grocery store that I work at uses, now charges a fuel surcharge to ALL invoices delivered to our store! I also found out last night, that some of our pizza places that deliver, are now charging extra for delivery! I am sure its because of the gas prices!!! I think my pizza last night was $3.00 more than usual, because we had it delivered! I dont think its going to be any better any time soon!

The company that comes to my house to service all of the fire extinguishers every year added a "fuel surcharge" of $5 to the bill. This was the first time in 8 years they've done that. A few of the other daycares in my area are charging an extra fee for school transportation this year because of the gas prices. I'm lucky I only live 5 blocks from the school. We'd walk if it weren't for the major highway with coal truck traffic we have to cross to get there. Sandy

When you work out the conversion (litre to US gallon and our $$ to American $$) we're paying about $3.50 US per US gallon for gas. And we refine it right here!

I'm worried about people that live from pay check to pay check.like me! I rarely have any extra , I get paid every 2 weeks and its hard to stretch it. I don't know want I would do if I had acar. If, rather when prices start going up what will people do? I can cut back some like dish network and internet service but thats my entertainment. I don't travel, shop or gamble lol.Hope this made sence Lin
