OT: Knee bashing!

Apparently, I thought Kenda needed some company with her knee becasue I fell Thursday afternoon. Guess which part of my body met the floor first? Yep...my right knee. OUCHIES! I called Dr. Mom on Friday to get her opinion. She suggested I go to the doctor in case I did anything to the ligaments or cartlidge...party pooper. My regular doctor couldn't get my in so I went to the "walk in" clinic in the building she's in. Nothing's broken, but I have a "prepatella bursitis". The doctor said he couldn't tell if I damaged the ligaments or cartlidge because it's swollen. He said to rest it, ice it 3 - 4 times a day, and prescribed a couple pills. Then he had me make an appt. with my regular doctor to see her in 2 weeks, unless my knee goes back to normal by then. Right now, it's still swollen, and has all kinds of lovely bruises. I'm able to block the pain out for the most part, which means I'm not drunk on pain pills during the day. Always a plus when you have kiddos to get from school! LOL

I'll try to keep up as best I can, but can't promise anything. Now woulod be a good time to have a laptop. I have a wireless keyboard, but that doesn't do me much good when the monitor doesn't move with it. LOL That whole "rest the knee" thing is going to be a royal pain, ya know? How am I supposed to make cards or layouts when I'm supposed to rest my knee?

Oh. I hope you feel better soon. My knee hurts just thinking about it. You better listen to the doctor and keep ice on it. Maybe you can work in your scraproom with you leg elevated.

Where there's a will there's a way! It's amazing what you can do side ways! Barb:o)

Poor you! Well work at the kitchen table and put your leg on another chair OR put a footstool or some boxes under your deak, and like Kenda said, you can alsways work sideways. There is also the brakfast tray in the bed possiblity! I'm sure when you get bored enough hmmm do you have time to get bored... you'll find a way to do what you love!

Meantime, do what the doc says!
