Okay, I've had my head in the books for nearly 9 months. This past Thursday we finally had our promotional exam. We received our results yesterday. Mind you we have at least 10 people retiring next year. There were 37 firefighters that showed up for the test to Lieutenant (our rank structure is Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain). I placed #7. Soooo, that means that I will get promoted next year!!! YEEEAAAAHHHH for me!!! I have been so stressed out over this test as if you don't get promoted next year the odds aren't good that you will get promoted. As only 1 maybe 2 slots will open up, if any for a number of years.
Just wanted to share my happy news with everyone!! The promotions won't take place till April or May, but they will happen!
