I've sent a couple of e-cards to my Secret Santa person, however, have not received any acknowledgement that they have been received. How can I find out if her e-mail address is a good one without giving myself away???

There is no esay way to validate an email has been recieved by the server, the only thing you could try to ping the server to see if it is working (and these fays odds are very good the ping will be blocked by a firewall).
As for an email itself, there are many search tools that do reverse lookups which might indicate if and whom is valid. Other ways you can text would be get a throw away account (yahoo, hotmail ) and send an email from that account (many mail servers will provide a bounce message if email is not valid).
Yes I know this group perfers top posting, however I am not used to doing that). If you desire web tools I can offer a few.
