OT: Update on the fostering

That's great! What a great Christmas gift! Thanks for updating us!
As a former Spec. Ed. teacher of emotionally disturbed children, I've seen some of these same situations play out......just be aware that his "honeymoon" behavior is quite probably about his knowledge that you are "adopting" him and he doesn't want anything to change your minds.....most likely, he'll again go through a testing period once the fostering is official and throw some tantrums, etc. just to check to see if you really want him! Be aware of this and be prepared, perhaps for counseling for all of you or just for the parents, and once he's feeling really secure he can be the sweet and caring boy he's really capable of being...... Good luck and lots of love to all of you, Live Simply Love More Expect Less MollyK. Barry
