Re: Fiskars Ultimate Rotary Trimmer?

I bought the Carl trimmer from QVC and is came with 2 decorative blades too. I really, really like it! Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of time to use it lately! It's item F6437 if you want to check it out.

I just got the Fiskars 12 " rotary cutter that has the 4 different mats- one has 1/8" measurements, one has 1/2" grid measurements, one has 1/4" squares and one for angles. It is blue with an orange blade housing. It has two blades, one for cutting and one for perforating. It has two swing out arms which one way is 6 inches and the other 13 inches. All that being said I am not thrilled with the rotary part. I can't tell where the wheel of the blade starts and stops EXACTLY which when I am cutting tiny inner cuts for a shaker box or something it ends up having an extension of the cut. It is more time consuming for me than the old one with the tiny pointed blade. Other than that, the angles are cool! It cuts fine. It cuts straight. So I am not sure what you are looking for but that is my take. I would like to trade it in for a new one of the old 12" cutter with the pointy blade! (For $20.00 less I might add!)

Have you contacted EK Success about the broken part, they may be able to help you with a replacement part or repair. I have both and like both for different reasons. I use the Fiskars Ultimate, when I am cutting mats, as I can judge the distance better, I like the Cutterpede for cutting car stock to a set size repeatedly.
