Re: title swap question

Just curious. I've been following the Title Swap threads since I've never done any type of swap and I was interested to see exactly what was expected of the titles and embellishments. I just looked at Kate's that she posted and now I'm more confused. Her titles are great and really creative but I guess I don't understand the swap.

The original Title Swap description, if I understood it correctly, was that each person would choose a month and then a title that fits that month and make twelve of the same title so that everyone in the swap will get one of each title for each month. In addition to the title, you were supposed to include 2-3 embellishments to be used on a layout with that title. Is that correct?

I'm just wondering so the next time one comes up, I can participate without getting it wrong.

P.S. Yesterday I scrapped with my bestfriend again for the first time in over a year. Her little girl just turned one and they had moved so we weren't getting together like we used to do. My oldest daughter and I made invitations for her birthday and I started working on some puppy pages. I'm so happy to finally be back scrapping! I'll try to take some pictures and upload them to webshots soon.

I think everyone has their own style. My style is to make things that are nearly 100% alike. That way everyone gets the same things. Many times over the years though someone will make every piece different, but still fit the theme they were given. For me I just find it easier to create one great idea. I have a friend who finds it boring to create the same thing over and over and would rather create 12 great ideas. It just comes down to ones creative style I believe. Pictures will be put up of the swap and you'll see how everyone has done theirs.
