That is very similar to the internet company that I worked at for so many years! They have what are called "vendors" and created a database of all of the products and the vendors shipped them themselves. Their intent of course was to make a profit from the sales. I am sure what you are intending would be great! Got to get the traffic to it though....

Traffic is a huge, huge thing but if everyone did a little PR and a lot of internet time on my part. It could work? Don't you think? Did you have a hard time finding "vendors"?
Dont know if this helps... But i sell my stuff in LSS, online auctions, craft stores and word of mouth. So far i can only just keep up, so it must be going right! I found the best way of finding people to buy my stuff was to get myself out there and sell it.

Once the site got popular the vendors came out of the woodworks! Even at first they were willing to sign on since there was no cost to them... I think it would work! Lori
I have seen similar online site and thing it is a great idea. It will take effort to geet a good rating in search engines and build up a reputation.
