I used glossy cardstock and i used my markers and i rubbed different colors all over the glossy part..i let dry. I then used Versa mark and stamped a image and i then embossed it with transparent powder... I then rubbed some ink over the top of the cardstock and rubbed it off and the embossed part was ok it kind of poped out some but the other ink smeared into the background and became ugly..oh man i was so disapointed.. I dont know what im doing wrong any suggestions??? chatty

You have the right idea, just in a bad order

1 stamp images with versa mark ink - you can clear imboss or let it dry. Different effects with the outcome 2 when dry - rub ink over the areas. Start light and add more

Hope this helps ScrapinWitch

Another way to do it, and for a totally different look, is to do what's called "Joseph's Coat".

  1. Put different colors on your glossy cardstock, let dry.
  2. Stamp your image with Versamark then emboss with clear embossing powder.
  3. Using a black ink pad (water based is best!), completely cover your glossy cardstock in black ink. A rubber brayer makes this easy, and less messy.
  4. Wipe away the black ink off your embossed image using a tissue, napkin, paper towel, etc.

Your left with a colored image surrounded by black, and it looks really pretty!
