rub ons

I managed to finish 5 layouts yesterday (power layouting helped a lot). I actually didn't do it by myself. My boyfriend helped me a lot. He enjoys scrapbooking as much as I do. I think he likes it because of all the tools. He wants a wishblade :) But the customer service doesn't reply to my email, so I don't think we would be able to buy it. OK. Now to my question: I've bought some rub ons. Heidi Swapp french quarter would be the name of the first package and the other would be making memories Heidi small. While I don't have any problems with the making memories ones I don't get the other ones to work properly. So has anybody used the Heidi Swapp rub ons before and can give me a hint? They don't transfer right. It doens't matter if I push hard or soft or if I rub ones or more often. So, Help please!!!

Susanne,

On another board I read, there have been many complaints about the Heidi Swapp rub-ons not working very well (I actually have a the same set you have, though I have yet to try them). I guess HS got enough complaints about them, so she posted "special" instructions on her web site on how to use her rub-ons, so here is a link to that: Hope they work for you (and me, when the time comes to try them)!

Thanks for the link Cindy! I'll try it out tonight and will let you know. I have the french quarter mix and some of the letteres are pretty close together. So I think I have to be a little more carefull. After I noticed that they don't work to good I didn't pay enough attention anymore and so some parts of the not yet used letters came off by themselfe. I also noticed that some letters look like they are not printed the right way. I don't think I would buy anymore Heidi Swapp rub ons. But I'll give them one more try tonight.

What a fun bf, cool.

I want a Wishblade too, but too too expensive to put on my SS desire list. On another board I asked about the price, some of the gals have one. So I got a personal reply from someone who does sell. If you want her email let me know and I'll pas it along to you.

It's probably to expensive for us too but I would like to figure out if they would ship it to or sell it in Germany. I know that it is sold in England. It is called "Craft Robo" there. But I think it's a lot more expensive there. So I wanted a statement from the wishblade company telling me something like "We can't ship it to Germany because of difference in voltage." or "No Problem." I'm not sure if yor lady could answer this question. Nonetheless, thank you!

Well, I'm really sorry they didn't turn out with the special instructions, BUT I really appreciate the heads up about this product. You'll save some us the frustration of trying to make it work.

hmmm...I can see what you are talking about Susanne. Must be really frustrating. All I can suggest is that you use it for vintage or heritage looking LO's or projects - a kind of distressed look :)

Grrrrrr! Maybe it's not too late to return them, or send an e-mail to Heidi Swapp about your frustration. ( I knew it was kind of fishy when I realized these rub-ons had to be applied "differently" than any other rub-on on the market)!

A wishblade is a wonderfull tool I think. It's just so expensive. You wouldn't need anymore punches or sizzix or stuff like that...
