Making your own Rub-ons?

Has anyone ever heard of or tried making your own rub-ons? I don't remember exactly where I got this info from, but I have finally tried it and it worked, except for one thing. I got some transparencies and printed the text out, but the edges of the colored letters "spiderwebbed" after printing, but the black ones did not. It looks kinda cool, but its not quite what I wanted. Any ideas? Did I have the ink set to print too dark?

Linda, I've tried it on page protectors, and it worked well - just have to leave them for a while to dry, otherwise they smudge and of course to remember to print it in mirror image. Also I found that coloured letters does not show up on too dark paper...which was a bummer as I thought I would be able to say print yellow on black...but alas, no such luck!

AHA! Thanks M-C I am going to save those for future use!. I am going to play with it again today! I looked at the transparency I did last night this morning, and the ones I did with colored ink had all bled out, but the black stayed just fine. Maybe I should just stick with black! LOL
