make your own rub ons

Rub on's have become so popular. I really enjoy using them, but find they limit me on the size and style. So after chatting with some other scrappers I found that you could make your own using transparencies. I was told by several in the group that some don't use transparencies due to cost. So I've been searching for a cheaper method. And this weekend I found it right under my nose! So I thought I would share.

I used my CK fonts and printed out a title, flipped it for a mirror image then printed it out on studio paper. Layed it onto the cardstock and rubbed away. The image transfered beautifully. And I did it in green ink.

Studio paper is used for mica transfers too.

It can be found at

10 sheets for 2.99 , and it's reusable, just wipe off any ink residue. So get together with some friends and share a package. And as I stated it's also used in transferring images to mica!

Sounds like a cool idea. What is studio paper and where can you get it?

You can get the paper at Staples or an art store that sells painting supplies
