Russia Reason

Well, I talked with my dh about adopting a little girl from Russia and he took 3 days to consider it and finally told me today that he would be all for it. So now I'm going to start the tedious process of getting all the paper work together. If this works out then I'll know why the Lord had me accompany my friend on her adoption trip. Please pray for us and this adoption process. Thank you, BTW Burnerbabe was it you that wanted kids? Maybe we can we go through the process together!

Oh Hilda! How exciting! My old neighbor in Louisiana had gone to CHina in

2001 to adopt Katie. :) They had two boys and wanted a little girl.

I've always thought of adopting another child myself, but am not so sure now. i know I want another in our life, but military keeps us limited to some things in life and "stability" isn't one at this point.

Lots of prayers for your journey.......

Hilda,

I will look forward to hearing from you about your process as dh and I have been strongly considering adoption ourselves, although right now the cost is prohibitive. We had always planned on having a large family until dh was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and has a very slight chance of ever having them, so we've started checking out our options and adoption from overseas, Russia especially, is something we're very interested in. Thanks for sharing with us!
