Scanning Negatives

Hi All,

I found a binder filled with old negatives and was wondering can you scan them in to make a contact sheet. i.e., scan the negative to get a positive print?

Just wondering.

Sam's Club can do it, I believe. Don't know cost though.

My scanner has the capability to scan negatives to my computer and print the pictures. I have never used it, yet. Always meant to.

Sandy what is the name of your printer? Kate

Carolyne, I don't have a sam's club nearby, do have a membership at Costco though.

Costco advertises that they do slides - they should be able to do negatives also.

right now I am having some issues with scanning and vista that they are working on. The computer that is used at our county museum also scans negatives. I'm sure there are several out there that do. Sandy

I have a huge box full of negatives that I've been wondering what to do with--it would be too expensive to have prints made professionally from all of them (my stepfather threw away ALL of my mother's family stuff after she died, without asking us if WE her children wanted it, d'oh)--this machine would be a great way to get copies of my childhood pictures again without the high cost!! Thanks for the link!

Now if I can just win the lottery, sigh.

I've got like 45 projects to finish before next Thursday when the in-laws arrive from India for 6 months--want to be productive over in my direction? LOL. ;-)

Carolyne > No problem. I'm sure this would be cheaper than paying someone to do it if

I wish. I know what you mean. Since I went back to work full-time. My 2 boys are doing more chores. They need something to keep them busy since they are out of school. Now if I could just get them trained to do it they way I want, but I'm not going to complain. LOL
