Hi folks,

Have been spending some time today looking around at different storage solutions and while browsing on two peas I came across this cool idea that would suit some folks

Marilyn, I've just checked out your latest work. Love the star album and the Nativity LO's. May I ask what the orangy strips are? Don't think I've ever seen something like that :)

Judy...these things are not new work! I had taken everything off webshots with the intention of joining the two page spreads etc., as I had run out of space. The NativityLO's were the first LO's I ever did! The strips I think you are referring to are actually from a Little Sizzles Classic pad and joined together. I made slits in them and laced a red glittery sort of ribbon through them. You can see the same one here:

and click to enlarge for a pop up window that will show what is in the pad. I use them for matting and layering or for little accents. It save cutting up a 12 x 12 and the patterns are little tiny designs. Would be great to use for the little albums like the 6 x 6 you did already! Take care, Marilyn

Thanks Marilyn, They look so beautiful... I will have to give that a try! (Must admit, I've seen some of you in here talking about ModgePodge, but never knew what it was...lol STILL don't really, but will have to keep a look out when I next go to LSS). My folks built a house mid-last year too and have plenty of tiles left over, so I'm almost home-n-hosed! Thanks for sharing :) luv Cec...xxx

Cec, try to look for the Podge in the decopage section of your craft stores. It's almost like a type of clear varnish to put over a finished project for protection. HTH

Cec....it is something like this

Modge Podge can be used as a sealer and/or adhesive and if you read the description given on the link it seems fairly similar process to what was done with the photo tiles. HTH, Marilyn

That sounds like a fun project to do, and what a great idea for a gift! I used to frequent a LSS in Crawfordsville, IN, and the owner sold pictures tiles very similiar to that, and he charged $20 for each one! I knew there had to be an easier way! TFS!
