Tear Bear Pattern ?

Does anyone know of a reliable site where I can get a tear bear pattern? I would like to learn/make the mulberry tear bears. I can't find a pattern anywhere. Any help would be great.

Chrissy, I just looked around for a simple bear outline (found the one I liked in an Accu-Cut catalog of their dies) and enlarged it on a copy machine until I got the size I wanted - made several copies so I could cut out each leg, arm, head and torso separately. Then I traced each pattern onto the back of handmade paper I purchased at Hobby Lobby as I found it tears and looks better than the mulberry which also seems to thin to me. After I traced the patterns I simply tore around the lines and then pieced the bear/bunny/cat (or whatever animal you want) together. Then add a little chalk for highlights and pen in the features. In my webshots in Molly's Album there is a LO "Molly at Easter" with a bunny I did, and in Sarah's album there is a LO with a Christmas bear.

I have one I could email you. I used it in the title swap that is going on now. You can see it in my Yahoo photos page in the 2006 Pages folder. Take a look and let me know if you would like me to send it to you.

Cathy,

He is adorable. If you don't mind I would love the pattern. my email is mickey8888ATverizonDOTnet.

Duh. Silly me!! Mine is a bunny pattern, but it would be very easy to turn it into a bear, just change the ear shape. I'm sending the pattern your way.

thank you Cathy for the pattern. It can easily be changed into a bear. Anyhow, I love bunnies. I collect bunnies. Thanks a bunch.
