It took me about 15 tries and over 2 hours but I finally made my first torn bear. Not the whole body....the head and paws were trying enough LOL

That is absolutely adorable, I love it :o) I'm going to give that a try too....what paper did you use?
I used mulberry paper from Jandora's Box (ebay store).
Wow, you did a great job and I know they aren't as easy as they may look!
That is one cute bear. My DD was watching over my shoulder and thinks we should learn how to do that. I'm not sure I have the patience.
I love it. I've been wanting to make a torn bear but haven't gotten around to it. Where did you get the pattern from?
Chrissy
You did a wonderful job. One would never know that was your first one.
Really cute. I like the fact it doesn't have to be a whole bear. You did a great job with the face. Sandy
That turned out really cute. Your time was worth it.
Lynne
Adorable!
Very cute!!!! :o)
He's cute! Very worth your time you spent on him. I haven't made one, but somehow, I don't think they're as easy as they look. Great job!
way too cute. definitely well worth the time spent.
cheers, Lenora

WOW!! I think that it is adorable, so much so it COULD HAVE had it's own page!!
What did you tear it out of Kathy?
It really does look great and adds that special thought and touch to a pretty page and subject!!
Yo better be careful though, MC LOVES and collects bears so she might sneak in and connive it from you!!

Check out my pix and crafts!
I also sew the real 3-d kind of teddy out of mohair, though not as often as I used to. The last teddy I made was for Kenda's b-day last year. Don't worry Cathy, I collect teddies, I don;t steal them, it would hurt their feelings!
Very sweet!!! Barb:o)
Such a cute page. You did a wonderful job on the bear. He looks so cute peeking out over the title of the page. Stacie looks like she's not quite sure what this birthday business is all about.
Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. I'm on a roll now, I did 2 more yesterday and today I am going to try for the whole body LOL
I used handmade mulberry paper that I got on ebay and a pattern my girlfriend cut out from a book she also bought on ebay. I really had to soak the paper well to gain some control on the way it tears.
She will only find paper bears here!
She has it all figured it now, she just turned 12 a couple months ago!
