Finally did my first mosaic!

Hi group! (Was going to say ladies but I know there are more than ladies here, lol.) I finally did my first mosaic tonight and very proud of the way it turned out. I was very scared of cutting my photo up at first but I dove in and I am satisfied with the result. I also added a few more pages I have done in the past few days and I added one more page to my daughter's baby book. I also went ahead and added some new photos of my family if you would like to check those out also. Let me know what you think!

Jennifer! That looks great! I'll bet it was intimidating to cut up your picture, I know I'd be scared.....

I love mosiacs no matter what they are of. They take corage at first to try I admit, but once you do one you will like it They are very time consuming compared to doing a plain ole lo though - LOL!

Great job Jennifer!!

Yes, Dave they are very time consuming. I first wanted to do the whole page with the blue squares and "fit" the photo squares in the middle but if just didn't look that great to me. I spent all of that time cutting the squares into 1" squares because I don't have a 1" square punch. Then gluing each piece down trying to get the same measurements in between each square! It took me almost 2 hours to cut up the squares and photo and figure out placement. But I am happy with the result. I will do another one again when I find the right photo for it.

You've been busy and creative! Love the motorcycle layout of your DH. I never would have thought the photo corners were foil! All your layouts look great. The circles with the seashells on your "Sunkissed Summer" layout are neat! I'll definately have to remember that idea.

I've done one mosaic and I was scared to death..so I did it on pictures of the Virginia skyline in case I ruined them.. I had more.. too afraid to do pics like of people.. lol My son was born in VA. We lived there back in 96.

Michelle, I just looked through your webshots albums and I have to congratulate you on the weight loss. My husband and I are currently on diets together and for some reason, he seems to be losing it a lot faster than I am.

It's beautiful! I've only done one mosaic page and it took forever because I don't have a square punch either - I used a sheet of paper as a template...

thanks Jennifer and MEN have it easier than us most of the time when it comes to weight loss..think it has to do with their muscle mass and we get the extra fat cells or something. I've lost 75 since last year.. I'm kind of stalled out right now. I'd like to lose another 30 at least and I'd be done. But I'm way happier and healthier than I was a year ago either way! I'm comfortable now also. Thanks for looking at my stuff!
