ferret costumes

I know I'm a little slow on the uptake when it comes to computer stuff, but I think I've managed to make an online album so you can see the ferret costumes. They are made out of t shirt weight knit (was told no fake fur or sweatshirt fleece as it was too hot for Houston) that I painted. The sleeves are half black knit and the body tan colored. I feathered the black paint at the sleeves and leg openings (they wore black sweatpants). The ears ,which took me a few tries to get the size and shape I wanted ,didn't have enough body to stand up so I zigzagged over pipe cleaners(chennille stems) to give them shape. The masks were cut out of black cut away stabilizer I had for embroidery and had an elastic to hold them around the head. I kind of made it up as I went along. The kids loved them...when we went for a visit at Thankgiving they were wearing the costume around the house.

The costumes are too cute! It has been hot in Houston the past few days after the cold front left the area. I have the a/c on today, but may have to turn the heat back on by Monday. Emily

I LOVE ferrets and these came out GREAT!
